CCS is pleased to offer students from Junior Kindergarten through to Grade 8 an opportunity to learn in a strong Christian environment supported by staff and parents alike.
We provide a full educational experience that includes all subjects required by the Ministry of Education as well as Bible class, daily devotions, prayer & weekly chapel.
Students enjoy participating in intramurals and musicals. Leadership, stewardship and service opportunities are interwoven with our regular academic curriculum.
Our small class sizes and low student-to-teacher ratio help to create a nurturing and loving environment for our students.
The goal of Christian education is to help students see the world through the eyes of Scripture. Proverbs 22:6 - Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.
At Community Christian School, we recognize that a safe learning environment is essential for our children. Obviously that means that students of all ages need to feel safe. At CCS, we believe that every child is made in God's image and is loved by Him. We believe that each child of God is unique and precious.
It is these beliefs that create the structure for a SAFE, caring environment. Physically SAFE means that no child needs to be afraid to come to school or play on the playground. Emotionally SAFE means children who are emotionally secure and happy are free to learn more efficiently. Because our world is changing quickly, it is important to our school community that children are safe to explore ideas, develop discernment and critical thinking skills, and obtain high levels of competency in all core curriculum areas. CCS kids are SAFE to be themselves, because we have specialty programs and/or are willing to adapt our programs to meet a student's individual needs. They are also SAFE to be honest with each other, allowing CCS to be a place of nurturing and growth.
