CCS STAFF

We believe one of the single most important factors in a child's success in the classroom is having a teacher that connects with the student.

Over the years we have prayerfully and diligently focused on assembling staff that will help students reach their full potential.  With classes small enough for each student to receive individual attention, faculty get to know each student and work to develop their potential. Each teacher and staff member brings a special "something" that brings out the best in our kids.

"Teaching, for me, is more than just a job; it's an opportunity and a passion. The most rewarding aspect is providing opportunities for students to discover themselves, recognizing that God has given them gifts that are to be used for His glory. It is important that each student develop confidence in who God has made them to be, developing skills to handle both successes and failures with grace."

“What children learn with emotion, they never forget.”  I first read this quote from Mem Fox when I studied in Australia and it has impacted my role as a mother and teacher.  I hope to create an environment in the Kindergarten classroom within which the children will remember how much God loves them.  I also have been privileged to travel many parts of the world and enjoy sharing my experiences of God’s diversity and awe-inspiring creativity with all students.”

"I attended CCS as a student so my love for this school runs deep. I feel blessed to now be able to teach here and have my children attend. What a privilege to show God’s love to His littlest ones by encouraging them in the start of their educational journey. CCS had a tremendous impact on my life growing up, and I am honoured that I am part of this community again, helping to shape the students here at CCS today.”

“We are beyond blessed at Community Christian School to be able to encourage one another’s faith walk as we learn and grow. God has a wonderful plan for us all! As the grade 1/2 teacher, I have the amazing privilege of walking alongside, and helping guide my students to grow into the unique individuals He intended them to be. I am thankful for this and the opportunity given to me to be their teacher.”

‘‘What a privilege and honour to be entrusted with teaching the next generation. My prayer is that each of my students would rise up and walk in the plans and dreams that God has for them, as they work to reach their full potential. I desire for them to know how deeply loved they are, and to grow in love for God and people. I want students to experience a classroom community where they are safe, valued, encouraged and supported, which helps them to be joyful and confident. I am passionate about communication and creative expression through music and drama, and I hope to share these passions with my students! I am excited for opportunities to grow, explore, and create together!”
